On Friday, December 7, 2024, HRM, Oba Prof. Saka Adelola Matemilola, the Olowu of Owu, Abeokuta, and HRM, King Adekunle Oyelude Makama CON . the Olowu of Owu Kuta, paid a historic visit to the Owu Obaloyan Kingdom, as part of the activities marking the ongoing 33rd Royal Union of Owu People’s Convention.
They were warmly received by HRM, Oba Kamorudeen Ajiboye Sanni, the Olowu of Owu Obaloya, and the Owu Obaloyan community, Ifelodun LGA, Kwara State.

Street Project Foundation Visits Olowu of Owu Kingdom
On Monday, December 2, 2024, the management of Street Project Foundation (SPF) paid a courtesy visit to HRM, Oba Prof. Saka Adelola Matemilola, Olowu of Owu Kingdom.
The visit was to introduce the ARTvocacy Movement, a flagship program of SPF, aimed at empowering youth through creative arts and advocacy.
Olowu of Owu, Abeokuta welcomed them warmly, expressing his delight that SPF brought this initiative to Abeokuta.
He assured them of his support and promised to attend the activation ceremony as a special guest.
The 33 pioneer members of the ARTvocacy Movement performed artful pieces, including music, dance, and poetry, to the delight of His Royal Majesty and his cabinet.

Olowu of Owu Kingdom Embarks on Developmental Tour of Erunmu and Ogbe Townships.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Prof. Saka Adelola Matemilola, Oluyalo Otileta VII, the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Abeokuta, undertook a tour of Erunmu and Ogbe townships on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
The primary objective of the visit was to conduct an on-site assessment of the physical infrastructure and potential development opportunities in the area.
Olowu was accompanied by the Owu high chiefs and the domain heads, Onroko Erunmu, HRM Oba Waheed Iyanda Ayoade, and Alakoso Owu Ogbe, Surveyor Olajide Fasina, the tour was characterized as engaging and insightful.
During the tour, the team visited three schools, demonstrating the Olowu’s commitment to education and community development.
As the 14th Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Matemilola has consistently demonstrated his dedication to the welfare and progress of his people, with this recent tour being a testament to his efforts to promote growth and development in the region.

On Saturday, November 23, 2024, HRM, Oba Prof. Saka Adelola Matemilola, Oluyalo Otileta VII, the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Abeokuta, attended the Egba Honourary Chieftancy Title Ceremony held at the Ake Palace in Abeokuta.
During the ceremony, Princess Kehinde Adeyinka Adelanwa, the Erelu Aje of Owu Kingdom, was conferred with the prestigious title of Iyalaje Onire of Egbaland by HRM, Oba Dr. Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, CFR, Okukenu IV, the Alake of Egbaland.
