The Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Abeokuta, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Prof.) Saka Adelola Matemilola, has paid a special visit to the solo art exhibition of 10-year-old pencil artist, Morenikeji Ebunoluwa Joshua, held at the National Gallery of Art, Federal Secretariat, Oke Mosan, in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The exhibition, titled Emerging Visions, is part of the “Celebrating Faces of High Impact Series 001.” It featured a striking collection of pencil-drawn portraits by Morenikeji, who has been recognized as the youngest artist in Nigeria.
Kabiesi, impressed by the boy’s extraordinary talent, took time to observe the portraits and interacted personally with him. He expressed admiration for the young artist’s creativity and encouraged him to remain focused and consistent in developing his skill. His visit added a royal touch to the event and underscored the importance of supporting young talents in the arts.
With royal encouragement from Oba Matemilola and growing public interest, Morenikeji’s artistic journey is clearly one to watch.
